Financial Fitness Services began in the heart of Donna Taylor, as a mission to serve others who experience financial difficulty and frustration as they try to find answers in today's complicated world. In the 1980's, Donna and her husband, Colie, experienced the heartache of selling out of the farming business, while suffering health problems and family problems. Until the problems became personal, Donna had no idea how many others out there were looking for ways to handle financial difficulties. Today, Financial Fitness Services continues to meet the needs of clients who need financial guidance.

On November 1, 2001, Financial Fitness Services was incorporated into a nonprofit organization with Donna Taylor as President, Patricia Willis as Vice President and Melanie Shoaf as Secretary/Treasurer. Our Board of Directors is made up of Patricia Willis of the Sikeston Missouri Housing Authority, Carol Gilmore owner of SEMO Title Company in Sikeston, and Scott Mainord of Scott County Farm Bureau.  Financial Fitness Services has received the Star Award from Southeast Missouri Area Agency on Aging for outstanding service to senior citizens.  Financial Fitness Services is a member of the Sikeston Area Chamber of Commerce.

In 2006, Financial Fitness Services began providing pre-file bankruptcy credit counseling and debtor education classes.*  Our counselors are competent financial counselors and educators, holding accreditations and certifications with the Association of Financial Counseling and Planning Education (AFCPE) and the National Association of Certified Credit Counselors (NACC).
